    Julian’s Birth {Birth Photographer | Santa Clara, California}

    “I could not get my fill of looking. There should be a song for women to sing at this moment or a prayer to recite. But perhaps there is none because there are not words strong enough to name that moment.” – Anita Diamant, The Red Tent

    This quote is so true and so powerful. When a woman waits months, years and sometimes decades to see their newborn you can’t help but try to take in everything about that tiny being.

    “I waited so long for him.” said Julian’s mother, Patricia of Patricia Rossi Photography, during her first fill moments.

    Giving birth is a very, raw, emotional and amazing time. Many moms would describe it as a time warp. As much as a family is fully present the details are sometimes long forgotten. Birth photography helps you see what was happening around you while you were focused on the task at hand.

    Patricia had a wonderful labor experience but I know years from now small details, which room number, the weather that day, her husband getting a cat-nap may long be forgotten, but the videos and the pictures won’t.

  • Road trip June 2015 {Our Every day}

    Road trip June 2015 {Our Every day}

    About a month ago Early Bird and I flew to Texas. My parents (Grandma G and Grandpa) rented an RV and we traveled about 750 miles across Texas to New Mexico and finally onto Colorado. We were “suppose” to be gone for 13 days, however, half way through we had a little “incident” with the RV (which I won’t go into because it may lead to more heated arguments.. ::cough cough:: Grandpa!). Needless to say we still had a FABULOUS time!!

    We may not being doing the RV thing again (check that off my list) but we’ll still take road trips with the grandparents!

    Here’s a little short video I made of our time together!

  • Sisters Documentary Video {Los Gatos, California | Family Photographer}

    I had the privilege of having a little playdate with these cuties! I couldn’t haven’t asked for a better pair. They were funny, sweet, and a super tight pair. Just what you think of when you hear the word “sisters.”

    I love getting to document a fleeting time in somebody’s life. These two will never be this age again. In 10 years they’ll be at a different stage, running off with different friends and who knows, maybe different cities.

    This is why I ALWAYS tell my clients not to wait.

    Don’t wait to be 10 pounds lighter. Don’t wait until the to-do list is not as long. Don’t wait until it’s the “right time.” Time passes so quickly.

    Don’t wait!

    If you are interested in documenting through video DON’T WAIT!
