WHAT IS FINE ART SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY?

Fine Art  School Photography offers images you’ve been wanting for years  – authentic, REAL portraits of your children that actually reflect the personality, style and stage in life. The goal? To capture a variety of unique, fun and joyful portraits.  We don’t like the word “cheese,” and we do not believe in forcing a smile. By taking a personal approach to the students’ portraits and spending a little more time with them we are able to provide pictures you’ll WANT to hang on the wall. Our approach is different … for schools, children and families alike. It also serves as a fundraiser for local schools by simultaneously offering parents a high quality and genuine school photography experience.

It’s time for school photos to reach a new level!

WILL YOU OFFER DIFFERENT POSES?

Yes! We spend about 30 seconds-2 minutes with each child, depending on the age, working to capture up 5-20 images that reflect their individual personalities. Parents will be able to choose which image(s) they wish to purchase from the various poses captured. Each pose comes in color and black/white.

WHAT TYPES OF BACKGROUND OPTIONS DO YOU PROVIDE?

We only use grey, white or black solid backdrops, depending on each school’s preference. This way it helps to keep the focus on your child! We don’t have to worry about the background color/design competing for attention with your son/daughter’s outfit.

WHAT PACKAGES DO YOU OFFER?

We offer 3 different print packages starting at $65 with a variety of prints sizes. An All-digital packages starts at $85. Parents are also able to combine packages and products. HOW ARE YOU WITH SPECIAL STUDENTS THAT MAY REQUIRE EXTRA ATTENTION/ASSISTANCE?

Being a former teacher and specializing in family & childrens’ portraiture I have lots of experience with many personality types! If your child needs special attention, I will be more than happy to schedule a little extra time and make special accommodations if they get anxious easily. As long as I know ahead of time what is needed, I can make it happen!

WILL YOU OFFER RE-TAKES?

In the event I’m unable capture your child due to absence I will schedule 1 day of re-takes. Re-takes will be offered as an as-needed option once I see how many children were absent and unable to participate.

HOW DO PARENTS PAY?

Our entire system is hosted online in private password protected galleries. Proofs are released for viewing through a password protected online link, and all orders and payments are processed online. The school does not have to worry about printed proofs, order forms, or handling/processing money. Our online system takes care of everything.

HOW LONG DOES THE WHOLE PROCESS TAKE?

After we take the pictures, it will take approximately 1-2 weeks before proofs are released to the parents online. The ordering of images will be offered for one week after proof release. Once all orders are in, products will begin to arrive 2-3 weeks later. All products are shipped to the parent’s home from the printers. Digital purchases are emailed immediately after purchase.

DO YOU PARTNER WITH THE SCHOOL ON REVENUE?

YES! We are happy to provide your school with 10% of all net profits. This donation is typically given up to six weeks after delivery of prints/products to the school. We also offer other options as well.

IS PARTICIPATION REQUIRED?

NOPE! You do not have to have your child participate if you do not want to. We will shoot portraits for every child on campus, and provide proofs for each child we photograph. Proofs will be provided digitally and because of this your teachers will not have to worry about collecting un-purchased proofs or order forms. If parents do not want their child to participate, they are not obligated.

DO YOU OFFER FALL SCHOOL PORTRAITS AS WELL?

We do but on a limited basis. In the fall we offer family sessions each year which makes for a busy time! However, we do make exceptions on a case by case basis so feel free to contact us if you’re interested. The families of the schools that I photograph school portraits for receive 10% off a full photography session. For more information on our different types of photography sessions you can go to our Investment Page.

DO YOU DO SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF SCHOOLS ONLY?

NO!
